Meet Dr. Yu
Dr. Alexandra (“Alea”) Yu is a licensed audiologist with a Doctor of Audiology degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Her background includes work in private audiology practices, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) groups, and large hospital systems.
Dr. Yu founded Yu Audiology to simplify hearing aid care and offer patients clear access to Audiological services. Her goal is to emphasize best practices and patient-centered care, ensuring that hearing solutions are effective and more accessible. Dr. Yu is dedicated to building long-term relationships with her patients, providing ongoing support and personalized care to manage their hearing health effectively over time. She is a proud member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), reflecting her commitment to staying current with industry standards and best practices.
In addition, Dr. Yu collaborates and shares a space with Kamil Ear, Nose, and Throat, a trusted ENT practice, to provide a seamless and coordinated approach to your hearing care.

I’ve always appreciated the sounds that fill my own life: my Dad listening to classical music (albeit too loud), the sound of my husband and me cooking in the kitchen, or my favorite show playing in the background.
My answer is simple - I love the sounds in my life, and I’m lucky to help others hear theirs.
