About Dr. Yu

Dr. Dr. Alexandra (“Alea”) Yu is a licensed audiologist with a Doctor of Audiology degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Her clinical background includes experience in private audiology practices, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) groups, and large hospital systems - giving her a well-rounded perspective on hearing healthcare.

She founded Yu Audiology to simplify hearing care and make high-quality audiological services more approachable and transparent. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based best practices and thoughtful, individualized recommendations that support care over time - never rushed or one-size-fits-all.

Also at this location: Kamil Ear, Nose, and Throat — allowing for coordinated care when patients need both audiological and medical management.

A little about me

I've always appreciated the sounds that fill daily life — my Dad listening to classical music (albeit too loud), cooking in the kitchen with my husband, a favorite show in the background. And whenever my husband and I get the chance, traveling somewhere new together. Those sounds aren't just noise. They're how we stay connected to the people we love.
